I bought this RB25 off my friend with no transmission, I was doing a lil research what other trannys can fit on the RB25 and I found this website that guys says that the RB26 transmission bolts right on the RB25! cause The RB25 & RB26 have the same block (they are the same) i hope I'm not in the wrong section to be asking this question but I just wanna make sure if does fit.. Does anyone knows?

You have it backwards.

The RB26 trans is the AWD (ATTESSA).

If you have an RB26, you need an RB25 trans. You have an RB25, so you just need to find an RB25 trans.

This is supposed to have been asked in the RB forums! Didn't you read the sticky at the top? Guess not or you would have know where to post.

But, I'll entertain the idea for you anyway.

Yes, it will bolt up, but the RB26 trans has the transfer case integrated into it. If you remove it, you'll have a big gaping hole where it used to sit.

If you are trying to make your car AWD, it's probably more trouble than it's worth. You have all the sensors and wiring for the ATTESA E-TS system to wire up, plus you'll need the right computer for the setup. It's costly and a pain in the butt to make your car AWD if it's not already.

Just use an RB25 trans. They are pretty stout.

EDIT: MOVED
