Does anybody have any plans or blue prints for building your own RB25 motor and transmission mounts?? I dont want to pay the $700 for the Mckinney mount setup. I have all the tools, I just need something to go off of.

bgsr240,

man, I'm not trying to be a jerk by asking that, it is needed information.

The honest answer is, if you got a half-cut then use the Skyline X-member and mounts (provided they are in good condition) and fab your own engine mounts. It takes time and two people to _safely_ do it. Have the transmission attached to the motor, slide it in place where you want it (align the shifter to where you want it) and measure from there. That is what most people (including myself) do. I can give you some basic sketches / DWG file for it, but you _really_ have to just measure it for that exact instance. I could give you dimensions, but what works for me, may not work for you! I may want my motor to sit a little bit lower / further back than you, etc. Also, you have to take into account how much you are going to be denting the firewall in or, are you just going to cut it out and weld it back into place?

If you are familiar with Linux at all, you would know that there are two main ways to install a distro. 1.) Download everything in the distro and just go from there, or 2.) 'Roll your own' and become quite intimate with ./configure make make install . You can either build it yourself, or pay someone / a shop to do it for you. I have been on my quest for a while, and I keep learning more and more each day! HTH!
