Just want to make sure before I go spend money that I don't haveAndyb2637 wrote:If The bolts are they could be putin a little pressure on the flywheel..could be the problem, but really shouldent affect anything
Andyb2637 wrote:Oh yea did you check the teeth on your fliy wheel? Your flywheel could be warped alil? it could also been your starter you could take it to autozone to let them test it(its free) so yea id do the starter test first tho so u dont go and waste money on something that wasnt broken..good luck
Ah i see. Ok i gotta check the flywheel then and for sure I'll take the starter to autozone and see if they can find a problem with it. Thanks for all the help guys. Really appreciate it.fast_s14 wrote:Im not gonna say that your starter is broke, but mine made the same noise when the aluminum housing was cracked at the end of the starter. When i would go to crank it the housing would seperate and it would throw the bendix off center. Replaced the starter and the noise was gone. That was my issue and may not be yours, it is worth looking at tho.
Thats makes sense since they specialize in those parts. I know what you mean about the unnecessary money spending. Happened to me recently LOLwawazat8402 wrote:if you can find a shop the rebuilds starters and alternators, i would go with them instead of autozone or parts stores of the like. ive had too many bad alternators they thought were fine which led to unnecessary money being spent only to have a real shop tell me they were bad.
