RB25 into s14...Did i cover it all?

I've been just reading all the threads and doing a few searches to gather info on my tentative rb25det into s14 chasis.

I've been offered an rb25det motorset complete except for some piping, intercooler, and radiator. (clip was damaged).

I'm wondering what I need to make it work, so far this is what i've gathered.Radiator - I can just use my stock ka24de radiator...with hose changes.

Intercooler - Well I would plan on going fmic , so what kit works? I figure a s14 sr20det blacktop to s14 chasis greddy fmic would work, pipes would be in a somewhat close location. If I got the tophat intake plenum.

The s14 SR seems to be in a similar spot? I figure i'd only need to fab a few extentions bends etc to make it work. Or what kit in particular works.

In addition, the tophat intake plenum, do I need like a q45 throttle body or... what? I think i've seen somewhere that i need to make my own throttle bracket?

Sturt Bars- The tophat motormounts and mckinney both clear strut bar correct?Wiring-If i decide to do the wiring on my own,can anyone update me with a current guide of rb25det to s14? I've seen links but they're all old/broken/don't work.Air conditioning - Can anyone provide me with some info reguarding wiring and which compressor to use? can i save my KA compressor and just attatch it.Clutch - 300zx N/A ....will 300zx TT work ? Z32 or Z31 ?

Labor-Anyhow, a shop is quoting me 1700 for labor / wiring / and mounts,driveshaft , downpipe. If i get them to do it, what do I need to get in writing about stuff thats hooked up. Clip/motorset-I've found a motorset for 2200 without i/c , radiator, and piping.

clip for 2800, i plan to go fmic so should i just go with the motor set?

what things are critical for the swap that could be missing from the motorset that i should be looking for?Prior Motor- My ka blew so, this is what im doing I guess? I have piping for a ka24det and a fmic, but i figure i'd get a new one since im selling the turbo kit, so everything is cut already. The testpipe, and 3" exhaust is already there along with the Walbro pump, wideband 02 and boostcontroller/gauge. Anything else im gonna need?

Last thing is, I did use the search button, but a lotta stuff is not always clear. Im not a total newb i've done plenty of SR swaps....

Typical cost for all motor mount/driveshaft/downpipe is about 1000 correct?

Ooop forgot one last thing, if I need to get a replacement flywheel, is that a z32 n/a as well?

radiator , yes you can use the one from youre KA. Some people have had overheating problems with it, but a lot of people use it. I think most people are either running 2 10" fans or a 14" fan.

intercooler Hybrid kit is great bang for the buck. Piping isnt the highest quality but it works well. You can get either the R chasis kit or the S chasis kit depending on which plenum you are using. There are a lot of other options out there though and it depends on how much work you are willing to put into it.

Sway Bar I didnt use either of those mounts, but i believe both of them clear the sway bar with no problem. Im using an A31 swaybar and it helps clearance out a lot.

wiring I dont have the s14 diagram, but the rb25 S1 diagram is easily found on this forum. You just follow the diagrams and repin the ecu plug...I think a lot of people make wiring out to be harder than what it really is. Im sure someone has the s14 diagram on this forum.

AC several people have done writeups on the AC. Personally i didnt want to even deal with it, and taking the condensor out allowed for better air flow (which helps using hte stock radiator).

clutch NA Z32. the TT will not work

Labor if you arent going to do it yourself, to do all that 1700 is an amazing price if that includes your mounts/driveshaft/dp/etc... i dont really follow your question about getting in writing whats hooked up

clip motorset if you arent doing it yourself, you can save a with a motorset. Most people get clips because they can see how everything is hooked up in the engine bay prior to the install. Depending on where you get it from, it could be hit an miss on what you get on your motorset though. My motor came from a clip, but due to some issues with the person i got it from, they shipped the motorset from it. I didnt get all the little odds and ends from the clip, but other than the xmember, i really didnt need anything.

as far as the parts you already have it seems like you are all set, except for a FPR. see the thread going on right now about FPRs.

cost... depends on where you get it. McKinney has mounts and driveshaft for somewhere a little over 1k. I dont know about tophat. personally i would go with a good set of mounts and get your dp and driveshaft made custom. I got my aluminum shaft with spicer yokes for 250 and had a friend help me with the dp. It all depends on what you want and what kinda of budget you are on.

Sway bar will clear, will the strut bars clear the shock towers?

Wiring- That s1 diagram you are refering to? is it the eletrical diagram from fsms, the one that looks pretty technical? Im confused, do most of the wiring harness plugs, plug up to the chasis or what? What about the wiper motor and all that stuff on the s14?

Radiator - as far as the stock radiator on the RB, do people still have heating issues? or is it only with the KA radiator? whats the diff in size?

there was a nice one page rb25 wiring diagram i used when i had to go through and repin everything, but that link seems to be down on his site. I dont have it anymore since i fried my hardrive. If anyone has this diagram still could you please link it, i would like to get a copy of it back as wel haha.
