so last night i'm trying to install an RB25 in my s13. i'm using the syko performance mount kit and an R33 crossmember i got. for some reason, i'm not able to get the mounts on to line up on both the crossmember and the brackets on the motor. the syko mounts fit fine on both of them individually, but when i try to connect the crossmember to the motor, something is off and it won't quite fit. i believe i may have the wrong crossmember, but i'm also not too sure about the brackets on the motor.

heres a pic of the crossmember. i don't currently have any pics of the brackets or anything, but i will try to get some asap.

from that picture...could somebody let me know if i may have the wrong crossmember by chance?

Uh, correct me if I am wrong but aren't you supposed to use the syko kit with a stock crossmember?

you're supposed to use an R33 GTS-T crossmember with the syko kit. mckinney uses the stock s13 crossmember.

and where abouts in madison are you? i used to live on e washington and blair, bout 5 blocks from the capital.

i don't think i did anything wrong. i took the crossmember (while out of the car) and tried to connect it, with the syko mounts, to the rb and it just wasn't quite right. i'm gonna take some pictures of the brackets on the engine and post them cuz something isn't right and i'm not sure what.

to confirm, your are using the right crossmember and that of the first pic is in fact a R33 GTST one.

Perhaps the brackets on the motor are conversion mount brackets that were never removed when you got it. Or where from another car.

The Syko's should work fine with factory engine mount brackets and that crossmember. And as you assumed, Pics would do everyone good in helping you out on this.

yeah i still haven't had a chance to go back out to my friends shop and take pictures of the brackets. i'm hoping i'll be able to go out there in the next day or 2. but i'm pretty positive now that the brackets are wrong because i just found pics of the correct brackets, and the ones that are on my motor are definitely not the same. thanks for confirming the crossmember is the R33 GTS-T. i had been questioning if that was the correct one.
