K so i think ive about had it with 240's. Im ready to swap my rb25 into my s13, and i basically can anticipate how its going to feel...

I am also about to pick up a J30 for a good price, and have been thinking about making this the swap candidate. Beginning to hate the s13 and its flimsy chassis.

I am having trouble finding any info about the j30 crossmember, if it will bolt on to the s13, meaning i could bolt the s13 crossmember onto the j30 and hopefully use my top hat mounts for the rb25. If some people help me out i will be glad to put together a build thread soon.

Sorry i honestly cannot locate any solid answer about the crossmembers

For this one, i'm honestly not really sure. I personally have never seen any rb powered J30's, you will probably be mostly on your own with this one, sadly. But don't let that bring you down, go for it! That would be sick. Anything is possible but i'm not sure if the s13 member would be a direct bolt on, but I know you could make it work.

Yea ive actually found someone who says they have fitted an rb25 into a j30 using mckinney mounts that were slightly modified and the transmission bolts right up according to him.

Thanks for the motivation though, i think using the s13 suspension ( i have Tein flex with all control arms) would make the j30 a little bit more serious. This is the main reason why im after a j30. And further down the road make the rb25 a lot more powerful.

Im about to put the rb25 in my s13 in like 2 weeks but im going to start looking for j30's. I found a cheap one but it was a 97 and i think obd2 would be a b**** to get it street driven, so im on the lookout for an obd1 j30.

I figure the j30 weights the same as a g35 sedan, so whats to lose? Maybe stitch weld the chassis also i think it could be a fun car with 4 doors.
