RB25: Ignitor missing, or series 2?

I can't tell if it's missing, or if it's a series 2.

i think its missing the ignitor because of the bracket on the back of the coil pack cover. My S2 didnt have that bracket on it

Some S2's have the bracket on the coilpack cover. Look at the throttle body and the throttle position sensor. Does it have one or two plugs on it? One plug=S1Two plug=S2

Can't tell from the pic since it is facing the wrong way, but it doesn't look like the wiring harness has provisions for the coilpack so I'm betting its an S2.

The rear of that TPS looks identical to my S2 unit. Not sure if that helps, but I think the plug is centered on the single plug TPS's. That one appears to be up pretty high.

I have a vid of it running that I just went back and found, and you can barely see the rear of the spark plug cover, and I see 2 screw holes where I would assume the ignitor would have been. So, I guess it's safe to assume it is a S2?

I had the motor shipped to the guy who Im getting to do the swap for me. So today I swung by there to see it for the first time and the bracket on the rear is to hold the harness connector from the connector that comes out from the spark plug cover.

Motor is kinda dirty, but there wasn't anything too bad about the motorset.

i had this same exact question when i got my motorset. It had that little bracket on the back making me think the ignitor was missing. thank god it was an S2. But i still got ****ed over on a bunch of other stuff that was missing
