Hello,
I have a s1 rb25 in my s13 and my oil pressure seems a bit high... After warmed up it reads just below 40psi at idle and then goes past 80psi when revved up

40psi at idle seems a bit high right? What could cause this? Im running 10w30 mobil 1 full synthetic oil

How long after the car is warmed up? It takes a while for the oil to get up to operating temp, longer than the coolant.

Like after driving it around for a good 30 mins, the oil pressure at idle always reads just below 40psi, I would think driving it that long would get it warmed up

Oil pressure for the RB20, RB25DE, and RB25DET are specified as follows:
Idle (650 rpm) - 14.5 psi
2000 rpm - 46.9 psi
6000 rpm - 79.6 psi

Oil pressure for the RB26 is specified as follows:
Idle (650 rpm) - 21.8 psi
2000 rpm - 42.7 psi
6000 rpm - 65.4 psi

When you are seeing 40 psi of oil pressure, what is the engine rpm?

Have you changed the oil pump since you have had the car or is it still the stock unit?
