ok so my friend has an rb swapped s13 he bought swapped, previous owner did the swap and rebuilt the motor, he had a bad pcv valve and replaced that and a bunch of boost leaks all fixed, his car brakes up at higher rpms. we did a boost leak test and got air out of the dip stick again, then we compression tested the car and got 170 in every cylinder, so i am stumped what the problem is/ Please help guys.
thanks~

not sure about fuel pump, that is possible but he is burning oil and he has air coming out of the dipstick during a boost leak test

Take the coupler off the throttle body and cap it off and boost leak test the piping to just over your normal boost pressure. Other wise air will flow into different areas of the motor because the PCV system is seeing boost.

U need a oil catch can that's why the dip stick blows out I had the same problem with my rb when I went full throttle my car smoked like a train.

dip stick blowing out is from positive crankcase pressure. not good. it's typically a bad pcv valve, vacuum lines being hooked up wrong or blow by from bad piston rings or ring misalignment

I had the exact same problem and rbs are notorious for it they have blow by issues the oil catch can helps prevent all that crank pressure I'm positive on that. It stopped mine from blowing out if it gets to the point were u fill your catch can up weekly then its piston rings

He stated at the begining of his post that the compression was 170 across the board so a bad piston ring is out of the question
