yea I called up enjukuracing and even e-mailed them and this is what they had to say,

"The turbo is the same, It was just put together by Precision. Its the exact same thing as a garrett turbo would be. just different cover to fit your motor spec."

I e-mailed alot of turbo sellers/websites, and they all said the samething about the two turbos, precision one have more flow, that's it, other then the covers their both the same.

I'm saying I might as well keep the one with more flow Right???

Precision is pretty good ususally... the owner seemed nice when I met him a while back... seems to know his stuff.

I'd say your only big issue will be the AR... as Carl said with a 25 .63's going to hit hard, but that's up to you and what you're looking for...

I've never driven one, so I can only refer you to articles... there is a big one on Skylinesaustralia for with a 30r on a 25... guy changed housings to a .82 and liked it a lot better... but it comes down to what you want, how often you want to wrench and how deep your pockets are on what method you take for choosing

Just my 1.50 hope it helps...

i'm just pointing out that they advertised one and actually shipped another..... like carl already stated, the wheels are different, your turbo may not the same top end flow from looking at the wheels...it's your tubo--your call, anyhow, good luck with the setup. keep us updated with the result.

yea I call today, I asked hey I ordered a Garrett GT3076R and got a precision instead, and he was like, It's Garrett , just put together by precision, then I asked about the anti-surge and he was like it don't matter.I'm at a state of confuse. I saw their policy and "All sales are final,No Cancellations or returns on Special Order Parts" and this turbo they didn't have so it was special order, I don't know. looks like i'm @$$ out. I'll call tomarrow and ask for the head guy and see what happens.

This is enjukuracing.com

I'll keep you guys on updates.who else can i turn too

bah i would tell them that its false advertising and if you have to contact the BBB...if they want to rectify the situation they will before you have to escalate it to the BBB.and the antisurge housing does make a diffrence, it helps bring air in at low rpm thus lowering the spool 'threshold'.

yea, I understand it's false advertising, but their defense is "it's still a Garrett Turbo" man I can't win. would be nice if someone could check and double check their website for me, it's enjukuracing.com under Universal ---> click Next and scroll down and look for Garrett GT3076R.just incase i'll use the LAW and need witnesses. yea, says Garrett.... NOT!!! Precision. Most websites that sells turbo's list the Precision Turbo's as Precision Turbos, and some list it as Garrett build by Precision. man, I didn't find out until I open the box that they shipped me a precision turbo.I did research all over the web on these turbos, some bad some good.in the end, all of this is all for the anti-surge cover and the REAL thing.

it's just that I felt I could trust this website and in the end money is all that matters. yea, I would of let it go if it was just a $5~20 item, lol that's what you paided for, not a $1249+up.

well I'll keep updates on how this place treat their customers. I'ma call them tomarrow and ask for the head guy. Thanks guys.

This situation is like pulling up to Burger King and ordering a whopper with everything on it. After you get home and are about to eat it, you notice it doesn't have ketchup on it. It's just not as good without the ketchup.

I'd keep complaining until they get sick of you and take your turbo back and refund your money. BBB always scares a legitimate business into giving you what you want.

Well I call up enjukuracing today and got the head guy RAY and got everything worked out, they were cool about it, it was just that they use percision turbo's on their drift cars, and the thing was If I wanted the anti-surge cover, it's a optional part (meaning I had to ask for it) I didn't know much about turbos, so any of you guys out there wanting a turbo upgrade and going GT30R's make sure you ask for the right cover or esle you'll end up like me. Well I would like to Thank you guys here at Nico, and you Carl, and the people at enjukuracing.com, Thanks.

I'm not talking bad about Precision Turbo's they are great turbos, their covers are made for high flow, but in the end it's all about the real Garrett.

I dunno man... look inside some of the turbos straight from garrett... they are good turbos, but some that I've seen could stand to have some burs taken off of the housing and cleaned up a bit.

My suggestion... buy a garrett and clean it up yourself... or find a good company like Precision or HKS etc and pay for them to do it for you plus a little bit more "fine tuning"

sup guys, okay now that the precision turbo is sent back, it now comes to the A/R of the turbo, I'm not sure what to go with on the GT3076R, the A/R of .63 or .82 ??? I know so far the .63 fast spools, but lacking in topend. and A/R .82 is good for topend. My quesion is, I want a turbo that's good for drifting and drag, will I still be able to have 450~500hp with the A/R of .63?? or should I go with the .82, wondering how bad the lag is.

Thanks for reading guys, and any reply would help out, thanks!!!

.82 should see full boost by 3.8k or so, more like 3.5-3.8...it will be much more manageable than the .63 ar turbine.

Thanks Carl H, I don't know what I do without you.lol, but will A/R of .82 be good for drifting?I just want a car I can drag and when done take it to a drift meet (all in the same place).

i see thanks rbsileighty, so if the turbo manifold is less then it's good for bigturbos, and long manifolds are good for small turbos, hmm didn't know that.so i guess i'll have to be extra picky when they make my custom topmount manifold. Thanks for the info.

And he gives some insite on .6x vs .8x on that turbo with the RB25... more depth on the "hard hitting" comment of the .6x AR... just FYI

Just to reiterate what's already been said, since that turbo has a 7 blade compressor wheel it is NOT a Gt3076r compressor PERIOD! There are no ifs, ands or buts. If any retailer is telling you otherwise, they are an F'in moron. The 3076r compressor is a 6 blade wheel, and there are no variants of it with more or less blades. It's things like this that make me want to only purchase an unmolested Garrett GT series. Too often, in the past, people have cobbled together hybrids with old T series stuff and sometimes just a few of the GT series components, then sold them as true GT series turbos. Just FYI but many of the older T series wheels are 7 blade, so it sounds like it's a possibility one of these made it onto your turbo. Precision is supposed to be reputable, however at this point I think ATP is about the only place I'd trust any more.

That's kind of dumb that people are charging extra for the compressor surge housing when the CHRA comes with one standard. Personally, I'd rather buy from a retailer that doesn't do that kind of crap. I want loud turbo noise damnit!

Do a .82 if you honestly want at least 450rwhp and if you see the potential for pushing ~500rwhp in the future. A .63 could push 450rwhp potentially, though it would take alot of boost to do it.

I used to have the .68 exhast housing and swaped it out for an .82. The car doesn't have as much violent wheel spin when the boost hits but still breaks them loose in 3rd gear. My spool is a bit slower but I also have an exhaust leak before the turbo. So .82 > .68 on an RB25

LOL but i am in the market for turbo for a KA24DE which is fully build (.20over)/balanced (7000rpm red line)/ported which is comes to about size of RB25 and i am realy thinking about GT3076R with standard (not anisurge)compressor housing option but i would like to get some AR opinions (especially that the car is 93 Altima)

You should really look at where your engine will put you on the map of the 3076 for various rpms. With that said, the 3076R with the .63 exhaust housing fits perfectly for a street driven RB25. And I recommend the anti-surge housing since it widens the map significantly at lower air flow rates.
