I have been working with a friend on his S13 RB25 project. He bought the car with the engine swapped into it and not running :/

We got the car to fire and found a problem with the fuel pump fuse. Each time we fire the car up (with the fuse out) it runs fine. But as soon as you plug the fuse back it the car immediately shuts itself off...

I am thinking it is some wiring issue... but I'm not wiring harness expert of any sort. So any help as to the cause would be appreciated!

Well its def a wiring issue!

Start tracing wires. Only two wires make the fuel pump start sucking....it shouldnt be too bad at all track down. Sounds like some wires are reversed somewhere along the line

yeah with the fuse in and when you turn the key to the on position it will prime the fuel system, won't start though if you leave the fuse in but if you take it out the car runs just fine... until the fuel is gone and chokes out.

So is it possible for the wires to the pump to be crossed? or grounded wrong to cause this issue??
