I just put a rb25 in my s13 and i was reading that if you have a walbro fuel pump (which i do) that it is pretty much a must to swap the fuel pressure regulator. Why is this? is it unsafe to run the stock frp with the walbro? Will it affect you perfromance? Please let me know before i just order one for no reason

it's FPR, for fuel pressure regulator, which you know.

It does just that, helps regulate fuel pressure since you will now have more fuel going through. The rest is history.

You will need the Type-A, not the type B.

With the Type A, I don't believe you will need the mounting bracket, as the Nismo FPR is designed to be OEM in-line replacement.

Haven't actually put mine on yet but this is what I found by searching before I ordered mine.

i know what it does but why does everyone make such a big deal about changing it when you add a walbro?

With the walbro your taking a greater volume and trying to force it into the same space. So in turn pressure increases. When you increase pressure at the injector it sprays out more fuel causing you to run rich. An adjustable fuel pressure regular will let you tune the fuel pressure to a factory level.
