Oddly enough, I went with the XS-Power R33 FMIC Kit and it has held up pretty well. I did not have any issues with pipes 'crushing' even after leak testing.
The only 'knocks' are as follows:1. The FMIC Core is flipping HUGE My stock bumper barely fit around it, even after I trimmed the opening. But they do give the dimensions on their site.2. There is a support tab on the 2nd cold pipe that connects to the head, I had to cut this off due to fitment issues. 3. The kit expects you to have the original FMIC piping which uses one pipe that goes FROM the turbo to the FMIC. It is black and has a nipple for pressure. I had to cut this in the center and rotate it a bit. There is no silicone coupler or t-bolts for either side of this pipe.
I wish the kit came with two additional silicone couplers and associated t-bolt clamps. And maybe a 3rd for the throttle body, that is the only thing that I would change about it. Also, no instructions for their 'mounting kit' but it was pretty self explanatory.
Oh, I also had to fabricate a pair of lower support brackets for the bottom of the FMIC that attached back to the body. I just used flat strap stock and made a double kink to mount to the body and that was it!
If you are going to make your own kit, the XS-Power kit used std tube (exhaust pipe!) and 45 or 90* couplings welded together, then smoothed out and chromed. But they also bead-rolled the ends.
If this were a product review, I would add: "I would definitely buy this kit again."
