RB25 dies after hard deceleration

i have a S1 rb25det with following mods: - apexi intake, pfc commander- blitz exhaust, bov-greddy intake mani-fmic-rebuild bottom end and redone head-mitsu 20g-cust Ex mani and dp- and more stuff that i forgot

dosent matter how fast im going but if i suddenly decelerate fast the car will just die and turn off. Happens normally after wot. holds idle well expect on cold mornings but after it warms up its idles fine. everything works perfectly fine except for that lil annoying problem. any ideas ?

resirc the BOV or remove it and place the stocker back on.

how does a vta bov cause the car to die when the turbo isnt even close to spooling at times?

dumps air out into atmosphere instead of into engine. Car still senses air coming through the MAF so it dumps fuel... but since the air is going to the atmosphere instead of your engine. It just dumps fuel into your engine with not enough air.

Recirulating or putting back stock BOV will fix it. Or if you want to "rice" out.. just get a safc-ii

sounds like the iac isnt powered.

how do you check if the idle air control is getting powered?

get the volt meter out and with the key on, check the pin connection to it.

Read the FSM for your chassis, it will tell you how to properly check voltage, or just google it.

my car does the same thing... can someone guide me on how to check my iac on my s1 rb25det in my s13?

Check out page EN-365 in the FSM.

The resistance between the pins on the AAC valve should be between 9-10 ohms.

The resistance between the pins on the FICD valve should be between 22-23 ohms.
