RB25 series2 in a s14....

I've been having some wierd problems with my engine cutting out completely at 2500-3500rpm under full throttle in any gear. I recently checked the tps and the best i can get it is all the way turned left and with the throttle closed it reads .28v and wide open it reads 4.7v... is this okay or getting towards out of spec range? If i set it to .3 (throttle closed) it will go over 5v under WOT. The car completely falls on its face if i floor it under 3K and over 3K part throttle it cuts in and out. It was cutting out when shifting, falling on its face when the next gear was engauged. Ohmed out the ECT sensor and when hot it reads 232ohms, i forget the specs on those any know that by chance. Also is it the same sensor that is in the KA or SR, cause looks the same as the KA(red connector). Timing was set to 15deg BTDC. Any input would be greatly appreciated....

So after driving around all day yesterday and this morning, I've determined leaving the TPS turned all the way to the left (best setting we found yesterday with the multimeter) causes the throttle to be real sensitive and choppy when trying to slowly cruise and giving it slight gas. It's like it's on.....then off...then on....then off when giving it slight throttle, not smooth at all. It never was really smooth, but now it's worst on this setting of the TPS.

Is my TPS just totally F'd up? How should I go about replacing it?

sweet guys, that sounds great......

So I am also considering a failing maf possibly. But I don't know why it would just act up at these certain times, and not just make the car drive horrible under all rpm/throttle/boost conditions.

Isn't the 97 maxima maf the same as the series 2 again? So maybe I'll try and borrow someone locally and see if it helps any in diagnosing. But thoughts on TPS are still needed. Ideas on possibly failing and replacement of it?

sounds like it could be the maf. I diagnosed a RB20 last week, and it was acting choppy but at like 3800rpm. So I checked the ecu, and the light flashes in code for what errors are occurring. I think you can find the codes on here, and or RBoosted.com , I think it's on a link somewhere there too.
