your thinking of the sensor for the gauge cluster. Thats a single wire.

Sh*t...I switched out the wrong one.. I used the KA 2 wire (red) sensor.. What's the difference between the two?

I used the RB single wire for teh dash gauge, and it seems to be working properly.. Is this the same wire I should use to hook up an aftermarket gauge?

Not sure if that coolant temp sensor works, the 2 wire one.. but If you wired it up and its working then leave it.

The coolant temp sensor (single wire) is only for the stock gauge only. so KA sensor to KA cluster, RB sensor to RB cluster if your using it.

It will not work with an aftermarket gauge you will need the sensor for the specific gauge.

I'm assuming the KA 2 wire is working okay.. I'm having a problem with boost issues as you prolly saw in another thread.. but, i don't think there is any link to that problem with this ka 2 wire coolant sensor...

As far as the single wire rb sensor is concerned.. the temp gauge on my KA cluster is reading a steady temp just below the half mark. I wonder if my car is running hotter than indicated... It sure is hot under the hood, but, I'm not getting any boiling from teh coolant.

Did you wire in the connector for the KA for the coolant temp? or did you use the RB's connector? Depending on your year... Im pretty sure they are different.

If you have the KA gauge just make sure you have the KA temp sensor installed. Otherwise it will read incorrectly.

I think I used teh Rb connector which matched up...

I'll have to switch out my gauge sensor..

the one wire sensor is for your gauge on you instrumet panel which you should use the ka, the 2 wire sensor is a colant temp sensor for the ecu and should be RB
