Wow, you've got a lot of research to do. For stuff as basic as what motor came in what, try google.

Anyways, all RB clutches will work with each other except you can't mix push type with pull type. The break was somewhere in the middle of the run of R33's. Has nothing to do with the type of motor, just the year.

i have read all that wikipedia had about the rb engines and skylines. it says that they never made r32 with an rb25det only the r33 and r34 got the turbo. the clutch that i want says that its for Skyline R32 RB20 (HCR32) and R33 RB25 (ECR33). i don't know what HCR32 or ECR33 stand for. and when some one has a rb26 with an rb25 transmission would they need a rb26 or rb25 clutch ?? doesn't the clutch have to match the transmission ?? if its a rb26 with a rb25 transmission he would need a rb25 clutch because the transmission is an rb25 ?? thanks

The clutch matches the motor, not the transmission. The only exception is with it either being push or pull type. The RB25det only came in R33's on up, but some 32's got RB25de's. Those transmission's are just RB20 transmission's though. HCR32, ECR33, BNR32, BNR33, bla bla bla are all just chassis code. HCR32 = R32 GTSt ECR33 = R33 GTSt, BNR32 = R32 GTR, BNR33 = R33 GTR, HNR?32 = R32 GTS4, etc etc.

You could take your friends clutch and put it on any RB20, RB25, or RB26, with any transmission as long as all of them were made before they changed over to the push type (or pull? I get them confused) around like 1996.5 or there abouts.

it has alot to do with which flywheel ur using...well thats actually all its about lol...the DE has 6 bolts holding the pressure plate on and the DET has 9 bolts holding it on..also the surface area is bigger on the DET for more grip....so get the one that matches ur flywheel as they all have the same input shaft / splines
