ok ... this is a technical question that i havent found the answer for just yet.

im in need of finding the stock lobe seperation of the stock r33 rb25 cams ... it would help speed up my project.

WHAT project is that you ask??

im working with a cam shop to come out with a re-grind specifically for the rb25det (as thats what i have) to semi-comparable with the tomei poncams (or others) but for ALOT less and for either S1 or S2 models. these would be a direct drop in setup and would have great all around results typically found with all the other cams he re-grinds or produces from billets. i just handed over my cams yestday to the cam shop and should expect them back within a few weeks - ill then post some intro pics but any results (butt dyno or real dyno) wont be for a few months as i still have to get my swap finished.

this is not an advertisement for the shop ... so i hope this thread doesnt get deleted/closed. this is something that will eventually be available for anyone thru me most likely but i just helping out with getting things started. this is much like the clear timing belt cover thread the a few weeks/moths ago ...

WHEN THE CAMS ARE AVAIL, I WILL POST HOW MUCH THEY ARE, LEAD TIME, AND ANY OTHER INFO...

thanks

If he has your cams, then why doesn't he just measure them????

how do you honestly expect someone on this forum to have these numbers written down somewhere? let alone if they gave it to you would it be something you could trust?

since you're getting custom cams why can't the machinist measure your originals for you

Japanese duration specs are ABSOLUTLY useless!!What lift are they done it?We were at JUN and Tomei in January, and they wouldn't tell us!What i do know is that different MFG in Japan use different lift to measure their duration, hence why say a 270 Tomei is 'better' that a 270 Trust as they are about as close to each other as pie and petrol...

not to thread jack or anything? but where have you been? I've sent you like at least 4 emails asking if you ever shipped out the oil orifice I ordered from you.. never replied back, Ending up having to go through Nengun because I was afraid you might never ship it. Turns out I get my credit card statement and you never charged me for it? Its fine now, I got an orifice, but thats some bad customer service...

back to topic this sounds like an interesting idea...
