RB25 cams are designed to work with hydraulic lifters, RB26 cams are solid lifter cams. Their profiles, mainly ramp rate, are different. I wouldn't do it if I were you. Just sell the RB25 cams and buy the proper RB26 cams. Plus with 10.25mm lift, you'll probably have to grind some relief into the lifter bucket area of the head.

I would call Tomei USA and ask, they are relatively knowledgeable and probably will be able to tell you for sure. I'd bet that they can be used because those are the cams they sold to me to use as part of their solid lifter conversion kit. I ended up not using them and went with 26 cams in a 25 head so I could use the 290 11.5lift 26 cams. Your gonna have to clearance the head with any really big cam anyways.

Thanks guys for your input

FYI, I've talked to them already, they stated that their cams are application specific. They are no compatible with other engines. It's better not to try using them or it may risk more problems.

hence I'm buying new ones, what cams would you recommend guys

FYI, RB26 car application is 850 whp, max rpm: 9000, street use, weekend car, need fast responsive car and flat power band.
