I recently got out of the VW world and am looking to build an S14 with an RB 25 swap.

I picked up an Rb before I have even gotten a car, and I also got a set of GTR rods because they hold 600 HP.

I am looking to make 500 reliable WHP, I definitely know it is possible.

I have torn the block down, and am getting the cylinder micro metered to check if I need a bore. Either way I am going to put in a set of forged pistons. Which kind do you guy recommend?

Then a set of race bearings, I think I found them for 125 shipped, and Iam going to put in a new seal kit obviously, and genuine OEM Main, head, and stud bolts from Nissan.

Then im going to check all the valves and clean the head, and possibly put cams in if I have money left.

For the turbo setup I bought my friends GT3076R top mount setup with 42ish MM Wastegate, and his JUN style intake manifold. But he took the injectors, regulator, and fuel rail because hes building a 26.

Do you all have any recommendations or information on places to get these parts the cheapest?

And also, I didnt research it yet so Ill just ask..

Iam going to put in an Apexi power FC, but which car do I get it for?For an R33 GTs-t or the 240sx?

Do I have to convert the wiring harness to bolt up to the R33 power FC?

for the r33 rb25det series 1/series 2 are the same ecu for apexi. Also, i enjoyed reading the violence and how you were going to use the parts that were broken.

i know a place where you can buy it for 850 shipped!

I am not sure what you are talking about, what is 850 shipped?

Nothing was broken on this motor, it has fried piston rings and the compression is low.

Thats why I am checking the cylinder dimensions to see if I need a .20 over.

I am going to be using an N1 oil pump that I already picked up, and probably an OEM waterpump. But the one in this motor is good anyway.

My friend recently had this turbo setup on an RB25 with stock internals, and he did 400Ish hp and the clutch blew and took his block with it, but his car ran smooth. Thats why I am so confident on doing 500 WHP with these internals. Because I know the GTR rods can do 600 and the pistons will deffiently hold.

This build sounds nice. How are things coming along? youre gonna need the R33 front subframe and the mounts for everything. keep us posted on the progress

Well I tore the motor down completely, and i found that piston number 1 is completely melted, so much for low compression.

So I called around to a few machine shops and I got a quote for 225 to have the block bored and honed out to 86.5mm, Iam hoping that the .5 will be enough to pass the scratch marks on the cylinder walls from the piston melting down.

But I ordered a set of forged pistons, and a set of race bearings, Once they are In Iam sending the motor out.

All I need to do is actually find a car I like.

im guessing hes talking about the power fc. sounds like a nice build. if you havent picked out what brand pistons you are getting, think about CP. a lot of the guys here use them and they can make them to whatever spec you want from what ive read.

I also picked up an OEM gasket set.

But you think 225$ is too much for a bore and hone? Really, because I was also quoted 600$ from another shop??

I certainly will call around more!!
