Been having this problem for a while. Whenever I get into the higher rpms, the car starts to backfire, and sputter. Im on the stock 7psi, no boost leaks, no maf leaks, nothing. Brand new 02 sensor.

Could it be because Im running an open turbo elbow right now that is causing this?

Also my friend said an IACV problem might cause this?

Maybe even TPS?

Any help would be great guys, thanks

I highly doubt an IACV problem would cause that.

maybe plugs, check gap, and check coil packs, might need to do the odl epoxy trick or get the yellowjackets from performance-wise.com

id like an answer to this too, sounds like my issue and ive tried everything. does it feel like you hit a wall in the higher rpms and you can clean it up a little better by advancing your timing?

The problem was fixed. My plug gap was at .043. Reducing it to .030 solved all my problems

Just out of curiousity do you have a way of measuring throttle percentage and whats your tps set to?

my tps works but its a little out of range , 1ohm - 8 ohm . if i follow the fsm it says 2ohm - 10ohm , but when i set it like that the car runs like garbage.
