I've been reading tons of write ups, but there is only one thing that I'm wondering about going from an auto KA24 to a manual RB25. I'm still 1 year off from my project, and there's just one thing thats just in the back of my mind that needs answering
Ok, this would be for an s13 (possibly an 89 that I'm eyeballing right now). Alright here we go, it is an automatic, I know about the procedure and all the parts except for one. About the driveshaft where you need a carrier bearing on it as well to hook up a manual ka24 engine. Now I was wondering (since I don't plan to switch trannies till the RB swap) if I would still need to locate this "Carrier bearing". Or if I do go for the Mckinney kit with the driveshaft, do I still need to worry about getting this Carrier bearing? From my current understanding, the KA24 driveshaft is a two piece drive shaft, and the carrier bearing is that first bearing off the first tube right? I hope I got my understanding down. I've been scouring the internet and the FSM trying to figure out if the carrier bearing is what the FSM calls a center bearing since I can't find mention of this carrier bearing.
Thanks in advance for your help guys ^^
