so my car isnt running like its suppose to. i can drive it but i can tell its not normal. the car will go into boost without me trying and i have let off the gas slightly so i will stop revving so high so it will go back into vaccum on the boost gauge. what i mean is, say i have my foot steady at 25% throttle in 4th. the car goes into boost. i let off slightly like its actually shifting itself like an automatic and bring my foot back to 25% throttle and the car will go into vaccuum and the turbo stops screaming. i think its a timing issue. im running an auto ECU with my 5spd RB25. i was reading a thread where kamin said there is a ground wire on the ECU i need to ground to get it to work properly and for it to be timed properly or something. can someone chime in and show me where this ground wire is? here is the thread im talking about

oh and the car falls flat on its face when it hits boost. i dont mean like it hits fuel cut or boost cut. what i mean is when it gets to boost, the car will seem like it has no power and just slowly accelerate. sometimes it pulls in boost, but most of the time it just feels like it has no power.

this sounds similar to my problem. NO power when i get into boost. I too would like to know what wire i need to ground. Im not sure if i have an Auto or manual rb25 s2 ecu. I bought it separately from my motor.

I'm a little unclear on what the problem is... It is a small turbo, so goes into boost almost with the throttle, so if you push the throttle, you are gonna get boost. About the "falling on its face," what mods are done, what are you running for timing, who did or guided you in your wiring? all these things will help the process. What have you done to troubleshoot this? My first reccomendation would be to SEARCH, get the FSM and set the timing and idle, along with set TPS, check all sensor voltages, and boost leak test.

being right in boost doesnt bother me. its the 25% throttle problem that i described that bothers me. its weird. its like when i let off the gas for a little bit at 25% throttle while its in boost, the boost gauge goes into vacuum like it should and i put my foot back to 25% and it stays there. its like the car is shifting with an auto transmission. wiring was done by another guy who has a RB powered 240. timing is set to 15 degrees. i set the TPS to .5. i have the FSM. and i fixed the 3 boost leaks i had found a couple nights ago after the boost leak test.
