rb25det ran perfectly fine then when the boost got turned to 17psi it starts tossing oil out the breather filter on the valve cover then the boost drops down to 15psi. no oil comes out the exhaust. runs fine as long as it stays off boost but as soon as it hits boost it starts tossing oil out the breather. any suggestions? mods are simple full exhaust, intake manifold, front mount, rad and random things please any input would be appreciated.

I really hope the stock turbo wasn't upped to 17psi.

What made you think you could do that?

a blown turbo seal will make oil pour out of the breather filter?

Sounds like your PCV valve could be stuck/leaking?

Quick to assume for a guy who doesn't know whats wrong.

You better do a leakdown test too.

ah, I swore i read oil coming out the exhaust.

well, excessive blow by sounds like rings to me.

Compression Test and/or leak down check that motor.

yea,

my buddy's B16 turbo had that same problem a few weeks back, turned out to be broken ring lands on his pistons.

i dont see how a blown turbo seal can make oil come out the valve covers.....blown turbo seals would cause the car to be smoking badly out of the exhaust first and foremost...

that's just my 2 cents

compression test would probably reveal your messed up pistons quite easily

There is no way your turbo has anything to do with the PCV system unless like 240z4u said, the PCV is sticking open while the turbo pressurizes the valve covers. That could blow a lot of air thru the system backwards. If the PCV line is not connected or that is not your issue, then it is possibly rings or too much oil in the head.
