ok i know the tack will be off, but when i search about whether or not the speed is accurate or not, alot say it works and alot say it needs to be modified with resistors, and there was even something on changing the seed sensors gear.

so what is it? im assuming resistors is the way but not sure do to the other options discussed.

I ran wires directly from my speed sensor to my speedo and it worked perfectly. No modifcations, no restistors, no dakota digital box. It was within 2 mph of my GPS unit at 70mph. Success!

mine is dead on and there is adjustment available on the s14 tack with a phillips and you just have to turn it and compare it to your ecu or safc etc. and it will work mine works but it reads about 50-75rpm high but alot of factory tachs usaully a bit off so its not that big of a deal. but the jdm sr tach does not work as well as the ka tach when adjusted for an rb. or you can send it to http://www.lsauto.com and pay them $100 to do the same thing.

I thought I was going to need the signal modifier for the swap, but when I hooked up the speedometer, it ran the same 4% low that it did when I had the KA installed. I am running the J30 VLSD so I still might install the dakota digital modifier especially after getting larger wheels/tires. I'll be about 5-6% off.
