Are Rb motors interference motors? I think they are, that would suck to blow a timing belt and have to replace valves...

Also, I took my crank angle sensor off to spray the front cover. Does the shaft need to be clocked a certain way? I marked it before I took it off so my timing would still be on but does the shaft need to go on the same way it came off or can I just slap it on anyway. i'm guessing it needs to go on a certain way so it tells the ecu when to fire the coils. Please correct me if i am wrong and thanks in advance.

Yes RB engines are interference

and the CAS is keyed, you cannot install it off. and its CAM angle sensor for future refrence. a crank sensor would be..near the crankshaft

Yeah I know, people like to call it cam/crank angle sensor so I got lazy and just put crank.

Well I get to see how its keyed... when I looked at it it looked like i could have gone on anyway because the shaft is a shape of a star. Thanks bro!

Ah I see... Goes on one way. I looked that the cas first and didn't bother to look at the shaft which has a semi-circle end to it. Thanks
