My name is Nathan and I live in Orlando, FL. I used to be a Professional Go-Kart driver in Brazil. Sorry for any English mistakes
I own a 1991 S13 Hatch, witch I swapped a RB20DET SilverTop.
This thread is a close guide to my RB22 build. I hope this could help people by providing information, pics and I'm always happy to answer questions.
First of all, I want to post a pic of my car, and how the engine was when it was 100% stock. Here it goes:

After I had fun with around 200whp stock everything, I decided to add some bolt-ons. Thinking big, I got a GT3582r, 800cc Injectors, Z32 MAF, Top-Mount exhaust, eBay Plennum and Nistune ECU. I made 326whp and 240ftlbs @21 psi. Couldn't go any higher due to my weak wastegate spring. I was still able to break my tires loose in 3rd gear!

Everything was awesome until one day, cruising down on the highway, my stock coolant temp gauge quit working and I only realized when it was too late. I was only running with one fan, it was a hot night and I was pushing it
My lifters started to tick and it was spiting metal shaving from PCV breather. A week later, It blew the head gasket
Good with that, I installed a new OEM head gasket, took cams out and looked up for any more broken parts, but everything seemed good, but for my cyl #2 that fried when it overheated. All cyl have around 151psi of compression, cyl #2 has only 89psi
Thats when I decided to build a RB22 instead of going RB26. One of the reasons is the cool factor and how the RB20 sounds...Yes, it sounds amazing to my ears
My car now runs like crap and only on 5 cylinders. I'm not worried about it because I just got a RB20 Block to start my build

I'm taking it to Raw Brokerage to have it machined and to buy all parts needed. My plans are 82mm Custom CP Pistons 9,5:1 cr, Spool Rods, HKS 1,8mm 3-layer Headgasket, extended crank collar and lots more. By the end of this week I'll be posting more pics of the process, since disassembling the engine to its day of debut. Might take a while but I will get it done.
I really hope this thread helps people who ever wanted to build a RB22 but never had a way to start or even found information about this build.
Thanks for reading and again, sorry for any English mistakes!
