A motor set that is as complete as possible would be supreme. Get as much as you can; maf, ecu, upper/lower harness, intake manifold accessories, smic, alternator, etc. The more you get, the less running around you'll do. Send your harnessed out to someone to convert for you. It will save frustration in the long run when something stops working or isn't working properly. You'll also need some kind of conversion mount kit, power steering lines (hard-line on the crossmember and high-pressure hose) if you have the single slammer, a downpipe if your motor set doesn't come with one (im using a cxracing one; it fits pretty well), as well as replacing anything that may break or has been broken before on the motor (misc. sensors, fuel/vacuum hoses, vacuum ports, manifold studs, oil, coolant, powersteering fluid, etc.). Tools; you'll probably buy or rent tools you don't have.
Recommended would be to purchase and install some new maintenance parts, such as, timing belt, idle pulley, tensioner pulley, tensioner stud, tensioner spring, water pump, thermostat, rebuild starter and alternator, clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing. It's a lot easier to replace some of these parts when you have the motor already out. Not to mention, they probably need changing already since the motor is pretty much 20 years old now. It would really suck if you put everything together and realized your clutch sucks or timing belt is broken.
Lastly, try to over estimate your budget. It's really easy to go over, and if something unpredictable happens, you'll be financially prepared.
