Hi, i just finished an rb swap in my 240 and found out the clutch was burned up. I ordered a clutch for an n/a z32 300zx from autozone to put in temporarily, but the clutch will not bolt up. the pressure plate and clutch disc measure 9.5 inches on the z32 clutch, while the rb clutch is slightly less than 9 inches, and overall the z32 pressure plate is larger, so the bolt holes do not line up. I ended up taking the clutch off my ka24e to see if it would work, and it bolted right up, and had the same measurements as the rb clutch. Do i have a smaller flywheel or did autozone just send me the wrong clutch? Thanks for your help.

The clutch was ordered for an n/a car. I think the turbo clutch has a 9 and 7/8 diameter, while the one i bought is 9.5

you have an rb20de flywheel on the engine...at one point it must have been automatic.you can use any ka clutch on the rb20de flywheel.

Thanks Carl H, the engine was automatic and was swapped to manual before i got it, so you must be right about the flywheel. Should i be looking into an rb20det clutch flywheel setup or will this flywheel hold up good with a good performance ka clutch?

I was about to say the same thing, I had the same kind of issue with my swap.I bought the trans/clutch, engine and flywheel from 3 different people, the clutch was a straight fit to a KA flywheel but wouldn't fit on my RB flywheel.

I had compared it with another RB clutch/pp and the one i had was wrong. I ordered a Z32 NA clutch/PP and it fitted straight on my RB flywheel.

So you have the wrong flywheel and you can prolly find a good KA clutch out there more easily than a RB clutch
