Hey guys, wondering if any ones has any info on a rb20det engine with a rb26dett head?I know there is ALOT of machine work needed seeing bore is almost 8mm difference.I know that probly no one in the states has ever heard of this due to my 3 hours search on info, so hoping that somoeone here knows a bit about it? maybe some guys in japan? any info would be great...ie...machine work needed?crank? rb26?etc...
My buddy just got it, today, and I am really curious how they got it done?
the intake was modded to high heavens...rb26dett intake mani weld to itb's without itb's! rb20det throlle body welded to intake!coolant system modded to high heavens...pretty cool he included a coolant bleeder into system with a coolant sensor into pipe alos for aftermarket gaugealso has the stock bov moved to infront of mani with a recirc tube, bov is welded to the gredyy intercooler pipe!looks "stock" other than custom welding...if you didn't have a knowledge of engines ie rb's you may think this was a stock engine, very clean engine, no major power mods. very interesting!We have swapped 20' 25's and 26's and this engine makes a sound like no other...I have a "test chassis" I install engines in before cars, was a old front clip I did some modding to, any who we got it going 1 hour after having it in shop and again sounds GREAT, deep, powerfull sounds!!!rb26dett engines sound very smooth and just plain beautiful~rb20det sound real raw and bad ***...this one sounds more raw and x2 BA! lol...
