Ok ppl i recently got a s14 with a rb20det swap and the wiring harness was a terror. so right now im trying to clean up the harness so i can get the car to respond like it is supposed to so any help is great! ive pulled the harness off of the car and laid it out and noticed that the square plug with the wht/p thick wire was cut off.

The f3 plug from the s14 was tied into the harness and was not sodered or taped up or anything. so i decieded to un tape the wiring further where the harness would be in the engine bay area and noticed more wires cut and needed help figuring out what the plugs are and what the wires got to.

Plugs:

what does the black wire on this plug go to? it reads nissan 0.47 uF

on this plug the black wire is loose also....i kno the top plug is for the ignitor..

and also i kno the write ups and harness ive done b4 have a blk/pnk stripe fuel pump wire.. on this harness its dont seem to be that color its red/wht stripe. ive looked at several ecu pinouts and ive only seen blk/pnk stripe is that common?

i used that write up along with carls and another one. I jus need to kno what the black wires from that plug next to the ignitor plug go to and what that black fuse or resistor go to and if the black wire is a ground

I did the same thing 4 years ago 17 years old in my bedroom gotta love it. Download the r32 pdf floating around and go to the master wiring schmatic. Its 2 pages long print it off and start following wires.

Keep in mind there are 4 different wiring schematics pending options on the r32 its a nightmare. There are flaws in everywrite up because of this fact^. There is going to be wires that no one else has on their harness plus a bunch of shielding wires to make things even worse........

AND WHAT EVER YOU DO. DO NOT USE A TEST LIGHT TO PROB ANY PART OF THE HARNESS......(use multimeter)

carlH got 200$ to send me a new ecm when i let the smoke and mirrors out litterally

All black wires are normally grounds but you'd have to follow it from the ecm plug with the schematic or else ur on your just guessing.

THAT would be my FIRST move, not the last.

At least then, it's perfect. You never know if there's a short or a break in a 20-year-old harness.

I took the easy way out on the S14 and had CarlH redo my S13 harness since I had my swap in a S13 before.

yea Carl is cool hes gonna do my ecu for me when i find some injectors. wiring is done but i have another question. Under the hood where the relays are. there is a single wire plug that has a thick white wire located near the bottom of the fuse box closest to the motor. what is that for?
