For some reason my wiring dosen't seems to match both carl H and skillzilla's guide. I've pulled up a ecu diagrahm for both s13 and rb20det and have cross referenced the plugs but still am confused. I took some pictures of the plugs and wire so you guys have an idea what i'm talking about and even have even drawn some pictures.

heres the plugs I have drawn with an accurrate color abbreviation and what I have figure out what each wire apparently does. I need you guys to help me figure out how to wire this up. I've spent a good deal of time with both carll H guide and skillzillas. I Used the KA lower Harness which is already rewired.

been a while but here goes...rb --> kablk/red --> blk/red on greywht/blk --> red on grey (this will cause the ecu to be on all the time...)wht/pur --> blk/red on greygrn/org --> grn/org on brownlt blu --> blu/grn on greyblue is for ps need to manualy run a switch from the chassis plug to the wire and ground the other side of the switch.the black and yellow is a test point no need to connect.

that should get the car started...you will have to run a wire from the inside of the car to the bown plug for the fuel pump (fp is blk/pink on the rb harness on the white plug, run to brown plug in engine bay blk/pink).as for the wht/blk rb wire, if that red/blk wire on the grey plug does power the eccs relay then wire it to that.

this one is for the fuel pump; connect that to one of the plug on the rb harness next to the ecu; it's also black/pink

I didn't get a chance today to try out the wiring but will tomarrow morning. What do all the other wires do? Do I not need any of them? If so I would like to remove the pins from teh plugs for a clean look, but don't want to at the cost of functionality.I know I have to hook up the interior plugs for dash and other components but I have plugs already figured out. So basically hooking up those 7 wires in the engine bay minus the lower harness which is done, is all I need to wire in the engine bay?

yup, you can remove all the wires except the brown wire that gets 12v when switched to 'on', you'll need to run a wire from the inside of the car to that wire for o2 sensor heater power, but the rest you can pull out.make sure it runs first tho, dont want to have to redo the wiring...once you get that far i can shoot you in the directionfor the interior bits.

So the black/red on the KA grey plug connects to both the black/red and wht/purple on the Rb harness? Also do I need the powersteering wired to start?

no, powersteering is not needed to start the car.
