Rb20det turbo gasket question

hey guys,

ive been told i probably have a spent turbo gasket. my car makes a whistle (not the turbo whistle) that sounds sort of like a mix between a whistle and a child's impression of a machine gun. its like a pulsating whistle and sounds alot like a blow by from a spent gasket.

my question is, would it most likely be the t2 gasket below....



or this gasket....



and i guess my next question would be should i just change both??

It's a T3 gasket not T2. You have to pull the turbo off to replace it, so you might as well do the other one while you're there. You may wish to replace the banjo bolt copper washer too.

yeah, im planning to upgrade to a bigger turbo. i'll fill you guys in when i do. im still saving, just trying to plan accordingly. thanks for the info.
