rb20det trans compatability

I am trying to buy an rb20det for my 89 240sx. The supplier I talked to yesterday said that my stock 240sx trans will bolt up to the rb20 block. Is this true or am I being fed a load of crap. This is the first time I have ever heard someone say that these two are compatible. I dont want to buy from someone who is lying to me.Thanks allP.s. Seller also said he had full front clip minus hood,fenders, headlights, lsd, but has complete harness, ignitor and all electricalThanksAJ

I can tell you that the output shaft of the trans is that same but i dont know about the input shaft and the bell housing bolt patternIf you'd like i can count the splines on the input shaft

But my advise to you just buy the whole clipCheck outhttp://www.Venus-Auto.comSpeak to Ronald or Vicki and tell them Brian from Unorthodox Racing told you to call

i got mine from them $1200 for the whole clip

i believe that the KA transmission bolts on the the RB manual bellhousing

You ARE being fed a load of crap. If you search this forum, you'll find that your KA bellhousing will NOT bolt to the RB20 block, and even if it did, your shifter would be too far back to use the OEM shifter hole. And then you'd need a custom driveshaft too.

OK now I am really confused who is right and who is wrongWho has actually done the swap and knows this stuff. And if the transmission does bolt up. How strong is it. Will it be able to handle the rb20det? I have no plans for anything more than an fmic, exaust, bov and increasing the boost. Maybe 250hp max will the trans handle that and yes I will be drifting
