well it will bolt on, but you dont need a driveshaft (works with the stock 240sx one) and i highly dobut the mounts would work but i could be wrong on the mount part.

personally, i wouldnt trust it. the 25 transmission is significantly stronger.

I believe there are a few around who are using the RB20 trans w/their RB26 swaps.

I'm w/Kamin.. wouldn't do it, personally. It's weak. Eventually when you want to crank out more power you'll need a stronger box.

Definatly a much less expensive option (if you use the r32 Xmember, and stock driveline). So if your on a budget it might be a good idea...

But who the hell can justify an rb26 swap on a budget?

RB20s break RB20 transmissions, I have heard RB26s are a lil bit more powerful.

guess that will answer that question for me. id rather do it right the first time then doing it over again down the road. ive at least learned that over the years.... looks like ill be going to the rb25det catagory then.

We need to know what trans you have so we can supply the correct trans crossmember and mount.. No driveshaft is need with the RB20/RB25de trans, How ever we offer a one piece drive shaft if you want it...

The RB20/Rb25de trans IS not as strong as the RB25DET trans. It is silimilar to the KA/SR trans and NOT recommonded for racing or High HP street. We are seeing more dealer remove the RB25DET trans and put it with there RB26 motor and Sell the RB25 with the Rb20/Rb25de trans..

Anyone ever attempted cryo-treating the gears or case for any rb transmissions. For many transmissions to create strength they are put in a deep freeze of like -300 degrees for like 24 hours. Also I have heard of them being shot peened. Anyone ever tried these methods. I read that cryo can increase the strength 20% and shot peening 25%. I may try this if my transmission ever feels like it's wearing badly and maybe cryo the KA and put the bell housing of the rb20 on there. This also will decrease wear immensely. Anyway just an idea.~ANDREW~
