thanks in advance guys,

ok heres what iv got going on. i am rebuilding my engine. I set it to tdc before removing the cylinder head. I replaced valve stem seals and built the cylinder head back up. im done rebuilding the block. I set the block and cylinder head back to tdc, the block is all good. the head im not sure about. the marks are lined to tdc but my intake side vales are pushed down on cylinder 3 and my exhaust side valves are pushed down on cylinder 2. is this how its supposed to be? please text me at (405) 613-6824. i can send pics of my cylinder head via text message

Sounds right to me. If you're TDC on the crank and TDC on the timing mark on the head, you've got to be right. There will never be any instance on a 4 stroke engine when every single valve is closed at TDC.

Once you get the timing belt/chain back on, take a breaker bar and slowly spin the engine by hand using the crank bolt, and if you don't run into any issues after the first rotation, you're good.

Alright thankyou for the reply, that's what I was going to do. If the timing is wrong I won't be able to trurn the crank by hand right? I don't think I have the strength to bend a valve by hand lol

Lol, yes, you most likely won't be able to smash a valve without putting some force into it.

Assuming you've probably gotten some work done by now. How's it coming?

The timing is all good, I've made a noob mistake tho. I forgot to buy new head bolts... Fail lol
