if you are talking about the ecu temp sensor then a z32 (any year) will work fine.i run one in my car and have for the past 2 months with out a problem.

THERE ARE TWO TEMP SENSORS ONE FOR THE GAUGE (WHICH IS A SPADE TYPE CONNECTION) AND THE OTHER IS FOR THE ECU (WHICH HAS A PLUG). ON THE NEWER MODEL RB20'S YOU CAN USE ANY Z32 PLUG..... ON THE OLDER RB20'S LIKE MINE YOU'LL HAVE TO USE A 1998 240SX TEMP SENSOR.

are you sure man?ive seen 4 diffrent rb20's and all of them use the same z32 sensor.mine is a 'newer' rb20 (no rb20 embossed on the timing cover) and the others are the older ones (rb20 on timing cover) and all of them use the z32 sensor.perhaps you have a *very* early engine, but hey i might be wrong too.

My engine uses the 1998 ka sensor.... I've tried the z32 but its a different plug. My Motor is from a 1990 r32.
