My RB20 has been throwing out fault code 13: temp sensor, so ive replaced the sensor but it still throws the code out, i have got ground and 9v feed from ECU?

Im thinking wiring problem, going to re run new wires to CTS, can i just earth it to the engine or run to new wires from ecu?

ive tryd diff ecus, still codes up

any ideas what else to do?

post away and ideas or past problems you guys have had.

Thanks Damo

If the sensor has 2 wires it is intended to be a floating ground and the ground should be provided by the ECU (i.e. you should run it to the ecu).

As a side note, there is also small circuitry in the ECU that interfaces to the CTS so there is a possibility that the problem actually exists in the ECU. Since you have already replaced the sensor, I would run a continuity check on those wires between the connector and the ecu connector.

All fixed, tonight i ended up running to new wires from CTS in tho cabin and cut old wires from ECU and joined new ones in, No more temp sensor faults, so must had a bad wire, or broken wire,

Hope the fault says away now.

Thanks for your help
