yo i'm new to this forum stuff so u know.. ahem ahem as u can see i had a few questions...i've been searchin on here for awhile and maybe i was looking in the wrong spot, but i read that u can do the rb20 swap with the stock mounts and the r32 crossmember. but one of my mounts that i hav right now is busted. (i hav the KA) so if i were to buy aftermarket mounts would i hav to get some more stuff like a custom drive shaft or nething like that? also i read on another forum that if you use the r32 crossmember that it messes up the front sway bar.. does neone know of this? uh maybe i dont know wat im talking about so if im wrong newher in here someone let me know. the only other thing that i can think of is that if i get aftermarket mounts doi need the r32 crossmember or will my s13 crossmember work? i am buying an rb20det and it has everything coming with it. the only thing im going to hav a problem with is the mounts and crossmember stuff. if neone could help i would appreciate it.

woops forgot to put this in my really long thing:could someone recommend some mount brands??and i hope someone can decipher my babbling..thanks

if you are using the r32 xmember then you need to use r32 engine mounts and engine mount plates, end of story.ka mounts will not work as they are much too tall and will tilt the engine to an incorrect angle and place stress on drivetrain not to mention will exasterbate the hood clearance issues that s13's have with rb engines as is.it may hit the swaybar as well but spacers should fix the problem OR the use of an A31 ceffiro swaybar will bolt on to an s13 and clear perfectly.else get some ST sways and they should clear just fine.

yup if you use the r32 crossmember then you need to use the RB mounts NOT KA. some good mounts would be NISMO solid mounts but i do know they can get a little pricey for the RB engines. the driveshaft i dont know what to tell you. i have custom mounts with an alluminum s13 driveshaft and i have to take it to the my local driveshaft shop and get it shortened by about an inch or so. but thats an alluminum 1 piece so theres no give in it like the stock 5 speed two piece. and i have a j30 vlsd which is just about .5 of an inch longer than the stock open diff. you will have to use the rb20 downpipe and dont listen to people when they say just get an sr20 DP unless you want to do some crazy fabrication B.S. trust me i listened to them and guess what i got an sr DP that i cant do didely d!ck with. from what i know its shouldnt interfere with the sway bar any i have almost an inch between mine and my oil pan with no spacers and my hood shut fine but once again i have custom mounts. and when it comes time to the swap make sure you bang in the trans tunnel a bit just incase. i didnt and had a major fitment issue so i had to pull my engine back out (by myself) bang it in then put the motor back it(by myself again) sucked pretty bad but hey at least its in a hopefully running soon. any ways hope this helps you some and if you have any question just let me know ill do my best to help. goodluck
