rb20det swap please help

never done an engine swap before and looking at an rb20det. Seller offered me the engine, 5-spd transmission, LSD, Turbo, and some other hardware for about a grand. Just wondering if anybody can provide a list of everything needed for the swap and give me an idea of difficulty. Thanks ahead of time. Mike

First off.. make sure you research EVERYTHING before you buy it. If you haven't done it yet, read up on it first. That said..Make sure you get the crossmember and mounts as well. Does it come with a harness? intercooler? You'll need all of that as well.. wiring will be difficult, and if I remember correctly, there are a few wires that need to be lengthend to make it work. Do you know the seller? Have you seen the engine? Keep in mind it may need things like belts/seals/etc depending on it's condition. A grand sounds a bit too good to be true to me.

This thread may have avoided by searching in the RB forum , as it's been asked many a time..

For a grand, i'd do it. Good price. Unless the person you are buying it from has dogged it. It's not too difficult to swap neither. I'll look around for a link I saw that has full info on it.
