I just finished antother rb20det swap and I thought I should share my little bundle of joy with everyone. I actually did this swap for somone else ( 1st paying customer) it took me 14 hours to get it in and running and a couple more hours to finish up all the little stuff ( few things left to do). Oh and the flex-a-lite twin line 10" fans fit like a glove, incase anyone wanted to know.

Thanks for looking,

sam

#6 eh? Looks real good! Im guessing that your doing them all for customers? I didnt charge much to do this one (1g labor), but he had me do a second stock for stock swap that paid ok.

Im going to see if I can get a mig welder for Xmas...I want to start fabricating some parts too. 3" dump pipe and turbo spacer w/external waste gate adapter.

nice work crxcess, I'm in the process of doing the swap now into a 91 240sx, I'm using the rb crossmember also and at the point to where the RB20 can be dropped in. Was the wiring difficult? are you able to close the hood? Did you drop the engine in with the transmission attached from the top or bottom?

Thanks,

Mike

we charge about 3000 or so to do everything, engine, fans, clutch, and any other misc things. so 1000 for the labor, 1500 for the front clip, and 500 or so for everything else. The wiring is my pride and joy.

So you made a new turbo/O2 housing correct? I had 8 flanges laser cut to make those for the RB20/25 turbo's. I only have one left. Where you the one who bough one?

The swap looks really good BTW!!!

I put the motors in from the bottom. Its just safer that way (in my opinion).

The wiring is so simple a monkey could do it. Thanks to those people who did all the work the first time and wrote everything down.

Just prey that none of the sensors are bad, they can be a pain to diagnose.
