well, I put a wire directly from the back/yellow wire on the ignition switch to the starter selinoid and she fires right up!! I suspect some sort of wire failure in the chassis harness because the black/yellow wire I clipped right after the plug on the chassis harness has a direct connect to the RB black/white starter wire.

I followed RubHamuSan's directions for eliminating the rear output on the HICAS pump. only thing I did differently was I put QuickSteel putty in the banjo bolt hole instead of welding it up. I threaded the bolt in to the hole a bit to make sure putty was squished into all the threads.

I even spliced all the transmission plugs onto the KA lower harness so it all plugs into the stock locations. and I also plugged in the KA oil pressure switch plug tothe correct prong on the RB oil sender unit so the oil light goes off after it gets enough pressure! sweeet deal.

only thing left to do now is bend the PS lines and fill the radiator and transmission. Anyone know how much oil the transmission holds?? I am assuming 80w90, correct? thanks!

actually I used the RB alternator, it was already on the motor. but the KA and RB plugs are the same. so if the KA alternator bolts on to the RB motor, you should be all good in the hood.

as far as teh transmission, I filled it thru the gear shift hole. what can I say, I am lazy. I put 3 qts in, so that should be good. we drove it around the block a few times, very nice. I am leaning towards the RB20 for my 90 hatch.
