well i got the swap all done and wiring all set. i turn the key and starter clicks. battery is at 12 volts and i also had a charger on it. i jumpered the relay still same thing it just clicks dosen;t want to turn the motor over.

so i pulled the starter off the transmission with wires still hooked up and hit the key, it clicks for a second while the gear extends then it spins no problem. i then took it completely off and hooked it up to the charger and it spun no problem. so im wondering if the starter is just shot and it dosen;t have enough power anymore to turn the motor over. it spins reall fast and def seems to work fine but like i said all im getting is clicking when i turn the key when its in with a full charged battery. someone please help i want to try to get this thing running and thats the only thing stopping me right now!!!

with that in mind if the starter is junk is there any RB crossreferences for USDM cars so i can pick one up? thanks for any help guys!

take your battery and starter to autozone and have them check it

just because your battery reads 12v doesnt mean its good.

forgot to mention i doubt its a battery problem. i have 3 and i have tried all of them and also like i said just hooked up my charger to the car as well. from what im thinking i think i should try maybe putting another ground on the starter or something, its about all i have left to try before getting a new one.

Your doubting Joe?... I relocated battery to trunk and didn't have sufficient ground, happened to me...Solution: 10ft of 2 gauge wire and a box of brass crimp on ends

yea definately check your grounds....i have ran through this problem before and didnt check my ground ended up getting a new starter for no reason...it was just the ground attached to the starter...problem solved
