if there is no speedometer cable is it true that the car will brake up earlier than normal about 5000rpm or so?

is there a way to go around that or what

nope a few people dont run with a speedometer hooked up. If your having that problem it could be your coilpacks. That is a well known issue with rb's

the speed sensor is used for a speed govener as well as several other subroutines for the ecu...for the car to run properly it idealy should have a speed sensor signal, either genereated thru a speed sensor in the trans or by the speed its self (as per the r32 setup).

Use the sensor out of whatever year 240sx 5 speed your car is and wire it up thats the only way short of swapping an r32 cluster into the car.

you keeping saying "speed cable" you need to use the ka24's speed sensor in the rb20 transmission. the 240's speed sensor is electronic, you don't need the speed cable. unless you are running an rb20det cluster. trust me, you won't get up to 180mph with the basic rb20det.

how would you mate the ka24 speed sensor to the rb20's transmission you would have to make a custom bracket right cuz on the ka theres a 8mm bolt on the bottom of the sensor that holds its self to the trans on the rb20's trans the sensor is just has like a srew on cap thing any one gots pics of the ka speed sensor to the rb20's trans would help alot

You don't need to make a custom bracket. Just bolt the KA speed sensor into the RB20 trans.
