ok well im getting extremely close to finishing my swap s13 coupe with an rb20det.
ive run into many issues along the way but now is one i dont understand.

first off i have mckinny mount kit (blue) and an rb20det trans and my s13 manual driveshaft. ive been told that this will work the yolk and all and it does execpt for the fact its not long enough.... im about 1-2inches short of the diff. what do i do to save money since im dropping 500 on wiring in a few days. and theres no reason for me to drop a ton of cash on a d-shaft that will handle up to 400+hp im making stock hp right now and will for awhile.

also i know that the s13 auto d-shaft is almost 2inches longer than the manual d-shaft. but i cant find one everyone seems to scrap theres. but i want to see one first before i go and buy it to make sure it works.

i did see another thread just like this but hes using different mounts and there was VERY limited info on his thread from a few years back.

Try to loosen up the mount that bolt to the subframe and loosen up the transmission mount. Then see if you can slide the motor and transmission back a bit. The stock 5 speed shaft will work, and is long enough. Something is not lined up right if it wont reach. Keep in mind the stock shaft wont go 100% of the way in, I think there was about a 1/2-1 inch of slack.

thats about what i have with slack right now. im just worried about the exposed area of the yolk getting damaged from water and anything else i drive through.
