Ok, I've got a few questions. First of all, my engine wiring harness has two green relays wired inside the passenger side kick panel right by the ECU. These are in addition to what should be the ECCS relay. Could one be the ignition coil relay??? And what about the other one?

Also, my cluster has a gauge for front wheel torque from 0-50 ft-lbs., and does not have a boost gauge. This would almost certainly be an AWD cluster, right? But this clip does not have AWD. Did Venus switch the clusters?

TIA,Shane

Like I mentioned before, the transmission does not appear to be AWD...

This was also apparently a HICAS car, since the PS pump has two outputs. Anybody know anthing about those 2 green relays?

the 2 green relays are a normal part of the r32 skyline ecu wiring harness. I dont know what it does, but you need them!

One of them is the ECCS relay and the other one is the ignition relay. The one that clicks when the ignition is turned to the acc position is the ECCS. This is off the top of my head but I'd almost guarantee it, I can double check for you Sunday or Monday. Hope this helps.

Thanks! I see where I was wrong... I saw a separate relay and it was on a bracket just like the S14 ECU relay. When I removed the engine from the clip today, I found out that it was not even on the engine harness. Thanks for the help.

Now does anyone know what the small silver pod is bolted to the passenger side of the engine compartment? It's about 1" x 3" and maybe 1/2" thick. It has two wires and is potted. I cannot really tell what it is from the GTR FSM since the pics are black and white.

Actually, I know exactly what you are talking about. I will check when I get back to Charleston tomorrow or monday. Make sure it is part of the engine harness and not the chassis. If it's off the chassis then you don't need it.

Is this going in a S14? Here is a link of Hybrids that the two of us did: http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....42642For some reason, off the top of my head, I don't think we used that piece. Hybrid, would you take a look and check? I think it was part of the chassis harness.

I can't get that link to work. Says something about a hotmail account???

Anyway, a pic of the silver box is here. It is on the engine harness, right before where the MAF connector cable splits off and before the engine harness connects to the other harness that goes around above the condenser coil to the battery and relay box.

I can't find anything like this on the wiring diagram, so it must just be something separate. I know the wiper motor is also plugged into the engine harness but is also not shown on the wiring diagram, so maybe there are a few things they left off for brevity.

Ahhhh yes I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. This sensor is like the same sensor from 240sx. I think my dad said this was some sort of engine bay temperature sensor...i could be wrong. I just placed that sensor on the bracket where the 240s sensor thing went.

I fixed the link so try it again. I will check for you when I get back to Charleston.
