Need a quick and easy answer, so stay on topic.
Rb20det power steering pump. -> Need to swap from HICAS to NON-HICAS pump.
I have the NON-HICAS pump and (engine) bracket, NON-HICAS pulley has 3ribbs and my HICAS had 4ribbs. I can get belt at NAPA with correct ribbs and try to match the length.
Q's
1. What is the correct length of the belt for NON-HICAS pump I have 30" belt, but might need to get longer, ? how long is the right one?
2. I'm missing the adjustment bracket for NON-HICAS pump (its also referred to as belt tension bracket?) MY HICAS adjustment bracket doesnt fit right, and only gives me about 1/4"(0.25") of belt tension/adjustment. Now is there any pumps states side, that I can remove that bracket from and use on my pump? (I know and have seen the KA24 pump mod, but thats different). Unless I could use that ka24 bracket chop/mod it, I have brain fart at the moment, so stay with me. Because, I dont remember if you got to use KA24 pump or RB20, and I have to go to work soon, so I needed to post it fast.
Here are pics of the adjustment bracket that I'm talking about. Their not mine, just for reference purposes, snatched them off of web .Rb25 pump but same as rb20
Help me out, so I can bring both of the cars out Saturday , other wise HICAS pump has to go back on, and its a pain in the ballz to get it off, got o pull rad out.
