First off does anyone know where I can find some oe pistons NEW*?

Id even like to find a .020 oversize if they make them.

If they are not available is there any piston out there out of anything that can fit.

I read a bit of chatter that a vg20de piston ring fits but I can find rings or pistons for that engine either.

THIS IS A LONG SHOT BUT.....

A 1.8 liter Honda has a 81mm bore possibly those could work. I believe the piston pin offset would be the biggest problem. Next would be ring lands up too high being non turbo. Then the height would probly be off significantly.

I bored my last engine to 79mm and it has absolutely zero overheating problems so assuming there might be enough meat left.

I do recall my machine shop saying that in between cylinders would get pretty close any bigger.

Maybe im way in left field on that idea.....

I know supertech has .40 over pistons but id like to find an option cheaper than 800$ (plus machine work)......

I remember reading about some of the RB24 conversion pistons and some people used the 4AGZE pistons in the RB20.

Brief reading on Wikipedia and other forums says they are 81mm bore. That was the supercharged MR2 piston and that they are "partially forged" im assuming there are the same very slight silcon content as supertech pistons. One post even said they run them in gsr engines as a popular upgrade. As both the gsr and Toyota 4AGZE are 1.8L engines.

I don't think that a 81mm bore would come out to a 2.4 liter. Im pretty terrible at the math.....

They are cheap !

Im not trying to cheap out If I cant find some ill just spend the 1200$ and get another RB20 motor set and cross my fingers.
The last 2 RB's I pulled apart had severely burnt pistons edges even the top ring land was eaten away! Signs of Overheating, Detonation from neglect and abuse likely from the two kids I bought them from.

Hopefully you guys came come up with some more options!
