The coolant lines you have are stock oem lines. If you look on the back of the block, or in your case where there were rubber hose running from the back of the block, one of your coolant lines plugs into the rubber hose. The other line plugs into where there is a cut and welded piece of line towards the back and bottom of the block. I did this because i was running a Holset turbo which only needed oil and not water/coolant. If you have any more questions regarding that just post up a picture and I'll do my best to illustrate where they go.
The ACT clutch is a very good choice. I would definitely say its far from overkill because lets face it, when you start making power, you're gonna want more, regardless of how you, or your pockets, feel at the moment. Thats the exact clutch I was gonna use and a buddy of mine has one in a different car and loves it.
As far as the BOV, if you have plenty of money to spend, HKS makes an SSQV kit for the rb20 and can be found most of the time on ebay. They make adapters for most bov's to work on the stock crossover pipe but they usually are bulky and hit the hood. Blitz makes great BOV's and they come with, or can be purchased separately, pipes that make mounting a breeze and can allow you to mount them in your intercooler piping.
Good luck and good to see your making progress!!
