Sorry to ask so much but i did search and found really nothing on these questions.

Im in the process of ordering all the parts to get my rb20det back together and am a little lost. What would you guys recommend as far as clutch for a 300hp goal. Im really leaning towards a ACT heavy duty 6 puck unsprung its rated for 400hp. Would this be overkill..... dumb maybe for my DD.

I have no idea what coolant lines i have can someone please throw up a pic im really lost. Turbo came with it off engine didnt get a chance to check out line routing. Its the stock one fsm has crappy pics.

I know a 1gen eclipse bov will work if i can find one but, what is a good aftermarket one to go with. I really just want to know about fitment and maybe get some recomendations. From searching i guess its personal preference i guess they really all do the same exact thing. Thanks

The coolant lines you have are stock oem lines. If you look on the back of the block, or in your case where there were rubber hose running from the back of the block, one of your coolant lines plugs into the rubber hose. The other line plugs into where there is a cut and welded piece of line towards the back and bottom of the block. I did this because i was running a Holset turbo which only needed oil and not water/coolant. If you have any more questions regarding that just post up a picture and I'll do my best to illustrate where they go.

The ACT clutch is a very good choice. I would definitely say its far from overkill because lets face it, when you start making power, you're gonna want more, regardless of how you, or your pockets, feel at the moment. Thats the exact clutch I was gonna use and a buddy of mine has one in a different car and loves it.

As far as the BOV, if you have plenty of money to spend, HKS makes an SSQV kit for the rb20 and can be found most of the time on ebay. They make adapters for most bov's to work on the stock crossover pipe but they usually are bulky and hit the hood. Blitz makes great BOV's and they come with, or can be purchased separately, pipes that make mounting a breeze and can allow you to mount them in your intercooler piping.

Good luck and good to see your making progress!!

Sweet!!! thanks man. I've been researching the crap out of those cams and HKS were the only ones to make 9.5 lift cams for the RB20det but have discontinued them. Maybe im just not reading them right.. If they are thats a good thing because they are more expensive!

Got Exhaust manifold studs takin out so just waiting for parts. Ill have to roll up there if i ever get it back together. Man im so excited about wiring too. haha...

Yea they're an 8.5 lift. I'm not sure what the number is stamped on there for but they are drop in...you should just put them in yours!! haha

Yea that wiring looks like a freakin rats nest. Its really not that bad its just that everything that i had all together came undone when i pulled it through the firewall.

If you dont mind, can i ask a huge favor. Can you post up a picture of the plug that plugs into the wiper motor and be sure to show the wire colors. Im almost done wiring up the 25 but im stuck on that. Best of luck!!

i can vouch for that clutch, i got one and i love it! a little harder engaging than stock, heavier pedal and chatters slightly if you try and ride it, but hasnt slipped on me once, very good clutch for the money

Matt i was reading through your old posts.. answered alot of my questions. But scared me on the headgasket being replaced before(warped head ill check it..). Then the whole cold start knock and you asking about bearings weeks before i bought it. Its all good ill check it all out Found out it had a excedy CLUTCH!! Also, guessing why the bracket on the side is all ****ed. Killer deal tho im happy its only a few snags. phase2 - sent all my parts but NO GASKET KIT talked to guy said no one has them maybe 3-4 weeks to get. Yea so if you know anywhere to get a kit or if anyone has one let me know!!!

I've never replaced the headgasket on it if thats what you're talking about. I did a lot of talking about it when i was wanting to build it but i never did.

As for the cold start knock, i talked to my stepdad, who has been a mechanic for 30 years, and he said that if it didn't do it all the time then he wouldn't worry about it and just replace them later on if i ever started hunting big power and even then i might not worry about it. It quit doing it in the weeks prior to selling it to you so I figured whatever it was had worked itself out.

I knew that clutch was awesome. Damn i shouldve checked into it lol.

What bracket are you talking about also?? And try erics performance parts on ebay for a gasket kit. Good luck!

Well just got off the phone with Eric's and they said nobody on the west coast has one. Their all waiting on shipment for japan to arrive supposed to be in about two weeks. GREAT! O well more time to clean and paint ****. Ill try to throw up a pic. of that connector if you still need it tonight. I am decided on that clutch now just not shur on BOV. I read your old post up about it and its just whatever you want to get I guess.
