rb20det out of control revving prblems >need help!!!

When i start the car the car barely idles, then it starts to rev to about 2k for a second then it goes retarded and just revs to 6k...

first time i started it it reved till 8k and i killed the ignition (was scared of blowing ) then i chcked my hoses and then started it again ,this time it went to 6k stayed steady and then went to 5.5k and up to rix again, then slowly climbed when it passed six i cut the ignition again ..

Has anyone had this problem before? or know about what it could be?

it revs w/o you touching the throttle? maybe your tps is WAY out of spec?

Its not the throttle cable stuck.I had a problem like this with my stock KA24E.One of the wires was loose on the T-body and the motor would rev outta control and I had to turn the key off to stop it.

It stopped when i put some wire back into place.

sounds like your cable is doing some funky suff. When you take the Throttle cable off dose it still do it?

it's not the cable ..

i have a feeling its the tps....

Anyone have the Nissan FAST program??I heard from some Aussie site that the J30 reads the same resistance.But..... it spins the other way.

Is your intake manifold bolted on properly? A leak on the intake manifold will cause your car to idle high, or if you dont have it on hardly at all it will want to rev forever.

mine did the same thing after the greddy im install. turned out i had a huge vac leak. might want to get a bottle of soap water and spray around. to check the piping, get a boost leak tester and pressurize the pipes and spray them with the soap water and look for bubbles. to check post throttle body, pull a vac line and use it to pressurize the mani and spray the vac lines, where the throttle body seals, and where the intake mani meets the cylinder head.

Guys ..

I have tried tightening all the bolts on the IM, I checked all the hoses, and my IC piping just in case. same thing happens.

Ive started it so much that it doesnt even hesitate it just goes doesnt even try to idle..

now there is no throttle response either.....

can anyone help me out ???????????
